Traders Village San Antonio: Hours, Parking, Rides & What to Know Before You Go

Every weekend, the southwest corner of Loop 410 turns into a small city of bargains. Traders Village San Antonio is the largest flea market in the area — more than 1,000 vendors, 11 amusement rides, and food stands spread across a huge open-air grounds — and it is the single most searched-for market trip in the city. This guide answers the questions people actually ask before they go: the real hours, what parking costs, how the rides work, what is on this fall, and how to sell there yourself. For the other three big markets, see our San Antonio flea markets guide.

The facts, up front

9333 SW Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78242 · Open every Saturday & Sunday · Best shopping 9 a.m.–6 p.m. · Admission FREE · Parking $6 · Phone (210) 623-8383

That is the whole price of entry: the market itself is free to walk into, and parking is $6 per vehicle. The market says the best shopping runs 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. Arrive near opening for the easiest parking and the freshest picking — the good booths get picked over by early afternoon, and on busy weekends the lots fill fast.

What you will find inside

With 1,000+ vendors, the honest answer is: almost everything. Regular rows cover tools and auto parts, boots and Western wear, furniture, appliances, plants, produce, toys, electronics, jewelry, and racks of new and used clothing — plus the garage-sale-style booths where one family’s cleanout becomes your find of the month. Prices are vendor-set and haggling is normal on used goods, politely and in cash-friendly territory: bring small bills, because not every booth treats a card reader kindly.

Plan for walking. The grounds are big enough that comfortable shoes matter more than a shopping list, and a tote or a folding cart pays for itself by the second row.

The rides: 11 of them, wristband for the day

Traders Village is part market, part small amusement park: 11 rides, from gentle kiddie rides to genuine thrill rides, run while the market is open. The market sells an all-day ride wristband on site — buy it at the ride area the day you go, since the market does not publish the wristband price in advance. For families, that changes the math of the trip: the shopping is free, parking is $6, and the kids’ entertainment is one wristband instead of a per-ride drip.

On this fall: a corn maze now, a holiday light show from Nov 20

Two seasonal extras are on the market’s own calendar right now. The CORNy Maze and Enchanted Lights opened Friday, September 18 — a corn maze by day that lights up at night, running through the fall season. Then from November 20, the market adds The Holiday Market and Lights Alive Drive Thru Light Show: a Christmas marketplace inside the market, followed by a drive-through light show after dark. If you are planning one big family trip this season, a late-November Saturday gets you the market, the holiday stalls, and the lights in a single stop. (Seasonal events are ticketed separately from the free market entry — check the market’s site for that week’s ticket details before you go.)

Getting there — and the bus that stops at the gate

From downtown: I-35 South about 10 miles to Loop 410, head west, exit Old Pearsall Rd, U-turn under the overpass — the market is on your right. From SeaWorld / the far west side: TX-151 east to Loop 410 east, about 8 miles, exit Old Pearsall Rd and stay on the frontage road. From I-10: head south on Loop 410 to the same Old Pearsall Rd exit. No car? VIA bus route 616 (Indian Creek) stops at Traders Village about once an hour on Saturdays and Sundays — call VIA at (210) 362-2019 for the day’s times.

Two rules worth knowing before you go

The market’s own rules, posted on its site: no pets and no firearms on the grounds. Service animals aside, leave the dog at home for this trip — it is a long, hot walk for them anyway. Second, the market is fully outdoors: on a rainy weekend, check the market’s site or social pages that morning before making the drive.

Selling there: booth prices, and the free option

Thinking of the other side of the table? Anyone can rent a space. A day space (13×25) starts at $23 for Saturday and $25 for Sunday, with free electricity, per the market’s own site; locked units start at $281 a month if you want to sell every weekend without hauling. It is one of the cheapest storefronts in San Antonio — a full weekend in front of thousands of shoppers for less than a tank of gas.

And if you are running a garage sale or estate sale of your own, you do not need a booth to get found: post your sale free on the SA Thrift Deal Board, and it goes in front of local bargain hunters all week — including the shoppers planning their weekend around what is on the board today. Plenty of sellers do both: the board during the week, a Traders Village space on the weekend.
