San Antonio Flea Markets: Traders Village, Mission, Flea Mart & Bussey’s — The 2026 Guide
Search "flea market near me" in San Antonio and you get four real answers — and they are four very different Saturdays. One is a small city of vendor stalls with carnival rides. One opens at 6 a.m. on a Wednesday. One is cash-only with live music at noon. And one sits up I-35 in Schertz, inside our own backyard. Here is the honest guide to all four: the real hours, the real parking costs, and what each one is best for.
Traders Village — the big one
9333 SW Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78242 · Every Saturday & Sunday · Best shopping 9 a.m.–6 p.m. · Admission FREE · Parking $6
Traders Village is the largest weekend flea market in San Antonio: more than 1,000 vendors under one sprawling roofline, plus 11 amusement rides, food stands, and live entertainment. You can buy a couch, a carburetor, a quinceañera dress, and a snow cone in the same hour. Go early for the best picking and the easiest parking; wear real shoes, because you will walk miles.
Selling something yourself? Day spaces (13×25) start at $23 for Saturday and $25 for Sunday per the market's own site — and listing your sale on the SA Thrift Deal Board is free, every day of the week.
Mission Open Air Market — the early one
207 W Chavaneaux Rd, San Antonio, TX 78221 · Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday · Gates open 6 a.m. · Parking free
The Mission market is the South Side's own institution: roughly 60 acres of produce stands, furniture, tools, clothing, and everything else, with roots as a drive-in that became a swap meet decades ago. It is the only big market here that opens midweek — Wednesday is the quiet, local day. One warning: older maps and apps may still point you to Moursund Boulevard. The market's current home is on Chavaneaux, off the Moursund exit of Loop 410. Go early — the serious shopping happens in the morning.
Flea Mart — the cash-only one
12280 Poteet Jourdanton Fwy, San Antonio, TX 78224 · Every Saturday & Sunday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. · $3 per vehicle · Cash only
Flea Mart is the old-school South Side market: clothes, boots, hats, toys, electronics, collectibles, piñatas, and home goods, with live music from noon to 4. Two things to know before you go: it is cash only (there is an ATM on site) and parking is $3 per vehicle. Bring small bills — vendors make change, but a wallet of fives makes every haggle easier.
Bussey's Flea Market — the Schertz one
18738 I-35 N, Schertz · Every Saturday & Sunday, 7 a.m.–5 p.m. · Parking $2
Up the interstate in Schertz, Bussey's opens at 7 a.m. — the earliest start of the four — and draws the garage-sale crowd from the whole northeast side. If you live in Schertz, Cibolo, or Garden Ridge, this is your home market. The Schertz deal board catches the neighborhood sales around it, so check both before you head out.
Which market for what?
- Furniture and big hauls: Traders Village and Mission — the most vendors, the most turnover.
- Produce and everyday bargains: Mission, especially Wednesday.
- Boots, work clothes, and a Saturday out: Flea Mart — and bring cash.
- Early-morning first pick: Bussey's at 7, then the Schertz sales on the board.
- Selling your own stuff: a stall at Traders Village on the weekend, plus a free listing on the Deal Board all week.
And on the days the markets are closed, the hunting isn't: garage sales, estate sales, and curb alerts run all week on the weekend sales page and the board, and our San Antonio thrift store guide covers the brick-and-mortar side.
