How to plan the perfect Saturday garage sale route

Saturday is the Super Bowl of garage saling, and the difference between a trunk full of treasure and a tank of wasted gas is the route. Here's how to do it right.

1. Save the night before

On Friday night, open the Deal Board and tap Save on every garage or moving sale that looks promising. Don't overthink it — save anything within your side of town.

2. Build one route, nearest first

Go to the Route tab, add your saved sales, and share your location. The app orders stops nearest-first so you're never doubling back. Start with the farthest one and work home — or start near and drift outward. Either way, no zig-zagging.

3. Go early, bring cash

The good stuff — tools, furniture, vintage anything — is gone by 9 AM. Bring small bills; sellers love a buyer who doesn't need change for a twenty on a $3 lamp.

4. Confirm while you're out

If a sale is still going strong when you arrive, tap "Still there?" on the listing. It helps the next hunter know it's worth the drive.
