Boerne's 25th annual Dickens on Main turns the Hill Country Mile into a vintage Christmas wonderland Thanksgiving weekend, Friday-Saturday, November 27-28. FREE festival: holiday vendors and food trucks up and down Main Street, live music and carolers, ice sculpting, street performers, kids' activities, the Greater San Antonio Academy of Ballet's Nutcracker, and snow on Main Street. Shops open from 10am; festivities run into the night (Main Street closes to traffic 3-10pm), with the official tree lighting at Main Plaza at 6pm Friday. Source: holidaysinboerne.com.
